Yesterday, the NBA released the list of players who will be attending next week’s combine in Chicago. Earlier today, Chad Ford of ESPN offered a little bit more details on who will be doing what.

This is, of course, all subject to change.

First is a list of the 36 players who will compete in the 5-on-5 portion of the combine (while also presumably going through the athletic testing). This list is courtesy of Chad Ford.

  • And now the real fun begins Derek. Here are the things that intrigue me the most. The measurements on Jarell Martin, Jordan Mickey, and cliff Alexander. The vertical numbers from Qualls and Russell.

Does the fact that Russell and Winslow are participating in the combine suggest they are not locks to go top 5? Just looking at the guys who are not going…

  • I think that Russell needs to prove that he isn’t a below average athlete. Winslow, that kid has nothing to lose and all to gain by working out. If that kid lights up the combine then the barkings for him to leapfrog that second tier of mudaye/Russell will begin to get real loud.

  • The NBA draft combine is pretty useless, more evidence that agents have too much power. Guy doesn’t perform at the NFL combine cause of ‘agent advice’, that causes problem.
